New Salem Cider
William Grote, founder of New Salem Cider
Episode #27 is our fall feature! Nothing makes us prouder than to present farmers and other members of the agribusiness community. Here we interviewed William Grote of New Salem (MA) Cider.
NEW SALEM CIDER PRODUCES BARELY 1000 GALLONS OF HARD CIDER EACH SEASON, FROM APPLES GROWN ON JUST OVER 150 HEIRLOOM TREES. WE SORT & WASH THE APPLES BY HAND, AND RELY ON AN ANTIQUE PRESS WITH LIMITED CAPACITY TO EXTRACT THE JUICE, SO OUR CIDERS ARE MADE IN INDIVIDUAL BATCHES – PRESSED AS THE APPLES REACH PEAK RIPENESS.

Cameron McLeod is the Producer of the ‘Are We Here Yet? Podcast. Since his high school days he has been behind the scenes of multiple productions ranging from directing live football games to filming short movies. Using his musical prowess and his technical skills gained from working as an IT professional, Cameron taught himself what it takes to mix and produce music of his own creation. To this day, he strives to better these skills whenever he can.
